Be a Tea Trendsetter

Tea used to be seen as the "English drink" on this side of the pond, but no more; hot tea consumption is on the rise in the United States. In Twitter-speak, it's "trending!"

Research from Euromonitor International suggests that while Lipton continues to be the top-selling tea brand in the U.S., Americans are expanding their palates and starting to enjoy more exotic premium teas, with bold flavors like our own Clari-Tea House varieties in greater numbers.

You could argue that tea is following the same curve as coffee. Do you remember when coffee was just a simple "cup o' joe" to get your parents going in the morning? Gone are the days when the term "barista" was only understood by Italians! The coffee market evolved … Thirty years ago Starbucks had a handful of stores, today there are over 22,500 around the world*. I'm convinced that the tea industry will follow that path.

Just like the coffee drinkers of the 90s and 2000s, tea drinkers are now experimenting. Tea lovers are embracing the culture of tea; becoming more focused on quality, prepared to try bolder tastes and more unusual flavors. Have you tried our Fall Specials? Autumn Pear, Cinnamon Cider Black Tea, and Sleigh Bells Fruit Blend are wonderful teas for this time of year.

Let's not forget that as a nation we're more focused than ever on health and wellness, and that's also stimulating the national interest in tea.  At Clari-Tea House, we believe tea is an integral part of living a healthy lifestyle. There are over 3,000 published studies that evaluate the role tea and tea compounds play in combating or preventing various illnesses, including cancer.

So don't be a follower, be a leader, a trendsetter and hop on board the tea train early! Now's the time to try one of our specials or enjoy a classic; take advantage of our latest promotion, as well as free shipping if you spend over $40!
